Actress Rose McGowan is no delicate flower and she isn't backing down from this fight. Last year she cryptically tweeted that her boyfriend sold her movie to her rapist. People speculated at the time that McGowan was referring to her once boyfriend Robert Rodriquez and Harvey Weinstein. In light of the recent New York Times story exposing years of sexual abuse allegations against Weinstein, McGowan has called for the entire Weinstein Company to resign.

McGowan says the old-school boys' club of Hollywood has outworn its welcome.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, McGowan said:

Hollywood’s power is dying because society has changed and grown, and yet Hollywood male behavior has not. It is so not a good look. In the way cooler than Hollywood world I live and work in, I am actually embarrassed to be associated with it. The men of Hollywood need to know they own no woman. The days of Entourage-like behavior and thinking is as dated as your largely bro nature.

McGowen also had a message for the women of Hollywood:

And for the women in Hollywood, free your minds., There are no 'rules' you have to play by. We affect the world’s mind because we are creating and disseminating thought propaganda. There is a great responsibility to be better than you have to be. Stand for women. Stand for truth. Stop hurting us. Rise.

She continues to raise awareness of sexually predatory practices in the glittery world of Hollywood, and the silence that enables them:

Celebrities and fans were showing their support:

There was also support for Ashley Judd, who came forward in the interview:
