Following a night at the club, you get home and go to pull out your wallet after one-too-many drinks, and it's not there. You freak out. You call the club, but it's nowhere to be found. After a while, you assume someone probably stole it and move on with your life.
But what if it turned out that the wallet you lost over 30 years ago suddenly turned up again one day?
The Ritz nightclub in Manchester, U.K., was in the middle of remodeling when they stumbled upon a wallet that had fallen behind a radiator.
Upon further examination, the wallet belonged to a teenager by the name of Elizabeth Sarah Dale, and contained some pretty 80s-centric items.
An I.D. found inside showed a picture of a smiling young lady:
Now the nightclub is on the search to find Ms. Dale, who would now be close to 50-years-old.
"It's coming up to our 90th birthday but this wallet has been here for about 30 years, so we just figured it might be nice to reunite it with its owner," Chris Mann, the bar manager at the Ritz, told The Independent. "We want to have a chat with them to find out more about what they were doing in the Ritz and whether they actually remember it."
Twitter is hoping that they can help find the owner:
The internet is a pretty powerful tool, so here's hoping this story has a positive outcome. Stay tuned!
