Following eight years of running the country, former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama went back to being regular citizens in January, and seem to be all the better for it.
Besides traveling the world to hang out with various princes and former presidents, the couple dropped off Malia Obama at Harvard earlier this fall, which Barack emotionally compared to "open-heart surgery."
And to top it all off, the Obamas celebrated 25 years of marriage together on Tuesday, a momentous occasion for any married couple.
Happy 25th anniversary @barackobama. A quarter of a century later, you're still my best friend & the most extraordinary man I know. I 💕 you.
Not to be outdone, Barack surprised Michelle with a sweet video that played during her sit-down chat with Shonda Rhimes at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women in Philadelphia, calling her a "saintly, wonderful, patient person," while praising her "strength, grace, determination and honesty."
Well now we're all ugly crying. Happy 25th Anniversary, Obamas.
