Lin-Manuel Miranda Just Slammed President Trump After He Attacked San Juan's Mayor

The Tony-winning creator of Hamilton was having none of the President's criticism of Puerto Rico.

In a series of tweets, President Trump attacked San Juan mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz after she criticized the federal government's inadequate relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Maria's devastation of Puerto Rico.

Trump's tweets incensed Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is of Puerto Rican descent.

The Broadway luminary responded, and proved that his words are sharper than any sword:

Trump accused Cruz of partisan bias and poor leadership in the wake of the hurricane.

The Hamilton superstar didn't settle for a simple Twitter rant while Trump was golfing in New Jersey:

Twitter showed their support for Miranda. They also contributed to the Hispanic Federation, a non-profit organization that hopes to empower the Hispanic community.

People put their money where their mouths were:

Miranda also praised Beyoncé for lending her Spanish vocals to the charity version of "Mi Gente."
