Netflix Pulls Down Children’s Cartoon After Parents Discover NSFW Image In Background

Watching cartoons with your kids shouldn't involve finding crudely drawn genitalia in the background of a shot, but that's exactly the situation many parents are dealing with thanks to an episode of the Netflix cartoon Maya the Bee

At about 5 minutes into episode 35 of this otherwise innocent animated series' first season, we see Maya the bee make her way through a fallen log. As she exits, she passes a large phallus (complete with testes) drawn on the wall behind her. 

As you can see, there's no real attempt at camouflage here. And the image stays on screen for a while:

As you might expect, many on Twitter thought this was hilarious...

Others were pissssed...

But is it really a big deal? Really?

Netflix has quietly removed the episode from rotation, but you can see the footage for yourself here:
