Liam Neeson Just Announced That He’s Retiring From Action Movies

It turns out Liam Neeson was an accidental action star. Now, at 65, he's ready to leave thrillers behind. At the Toronto International Film Festival, Neeson said:

I'm like: 'Guys I'm sixty-f***ing-five.' Audiences are eventually going to go: 'Come on.'

But are audiences tired of Neeson as an action hero?

Apparently they're not ready for him to go:

Though Neeson enjoys box office success in thrillers, the Irish star says he wants to focus on more serious roles.

Neeson said his career in action-packed thrillers was "all a pure accident."

Neeson has two more thrillers coming out: Hard Powder, in which he plays a snowplow driver who fights a drug cartel, and The Commuter, directed by... Jaume Collet-Serra.

Thank you, Mr. Neeson, for all the thrills.
