Celebrity baby names have trended toward the more...exotic, shall we say.
For instance, actor Jason Lee named his son "Pilot Inspektor." Rock icon Frank Zappa named his children "Moon Unit", "Dweezil", "Ahmet" and "Diva Muffin." Magician Penn Jilette named his daughter "Moxie Crimefighter." Jermaine Jackson has a child named "Jermajesty" and Sylvester Stallone has a son named "Sage Moonblood."
At least one celebrity couple is bucking that trend. George Clooney gave an interview to Entertainment Tonight recently where the subject of his children's names, Alexander and Ella, came up.
When asked what inspired the names, Clooney gave a hilariously honest answer:
"We figured these kids are going to be looked at a lot and watched and [have their] every move sort of judged," he said. "So we looked for some sort of normal names."
There wasn't any inspiration past that, they weren't named after a particular famous Alexander or Ella in history.

Fake news! Those names are completely normal, not like typical celebrity baby names. I demand verification!— OPFOR (@PerditionReigns) June 6, 2017
