Barack Obama’s Spokesperson Responds To Rumors He’s Buying Caroline Kennedy’s $27 Million Estate

The Boston Globe reported that the 44th President was looking for property somewhere around Aquinnah, Chilmark, or West Tisbury, off the coast of Massachusetts.

Rumors are circulating that former President Obama is in the market for a vacation home in Martha's Vineyard:

The Globe specifically noted the Obamas' interest in two lots previously owned by Caroline Kennedy and her husband, Edwin Schlossberg. The two parcels were once a 377-acre estate, called Red Gate Farm, owned by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Together, the lots are worth about $27 million.

A spokesperson denied rumors that the Obamas are looking to purchase the land:

The property at Martha's Vineyard is listed by Sotheby's International Realty, and features huge swaths of untouched waterfront land. There are no houses on either lot, giving new residents the chance to build something perfectly suited to their tastes.

The Obamas have vacationed nearby in the past:

It looks like the Obamas won't be setting up house, but if you have a cool $27 million to part with, check out the properties at Sotheby's website
