Retired Couple Successfully Eats At All 645 Cracker Barrel Restaurants In America
40 year, 44 states, and 645 restaurants later, Ray and Wilma Yoder finally have dined at every Cracker Barrel in the United States. On Ray Yoder's 81st birthday, the couple sat down at the final and newest restaurant in Tualatin, Oregon.
According to ABC news, the Yoder's had the idea to visit every Cracker Barrel in the 1960s and have been on the mission since.
The couple, who've been married for 60 years, roved around in their RV going to opening ceremonies and ribbon cuttings, indulging in their meal of choice: meatloaf and blueberry pancakes. Twitter users let the couple know they are #couplegoals.
The southern country themed chain restaurant, founded in 1969, opened its first store in Lebanon, Tennessee. Cracker Barrel's menu bases itself on traditional southern comfort foods and is designed to look like an old-fashioned general store. The American chain partners regularly with country stars, scholarship programs, and works to give back to the staff through Cracker Barrel Cares Inc.
The Yoder's were officially inducted into the Cracker Barrel family with the iconic aprons, a set of our famous rockers, a vintage-looking Coca-Cola cooler and other classic Cracker Barrel items. After visiting all of the open restaurants, the couple can take a break before the next Cracker Barrel opening is announce.
