Nurse Jackie actor Haaz Sleiman talked about his sexuality in a video he posted on social media this week. Sleiman made the video to protest violence against the LGBTQ community.
Not only am I gay, but I'm also a bottom. Not only am I a bottom, but I'm also a total bottom, which means I like it up you know where.
Here is the most perfect definition of P.R.I.D.E. No shame. No tears. No excuses. Just you simply showing how strong you are.Thank you 💪🏽😊🙏🏽— Olivier Ciappa (@OlivierCiappa) August 27, 2017
Is too much to ask for more beautiful people like yourself to be in this world❤️💕🌈💪🏼😍🙏🏽— Bodhi90🌿 (@Peacefrog1985) August 24, 2017
On Facebook, Sleiman posted a screen grab of a 2009 interview with the Advocate, in which he said he was straight and had a girlfriend in New York. He talked about his time on Nurse Jackie and how playing his character had brought up questions about his sexuality.
I was so shocked. I froze. My body started shaking. And then I lied and said I was straight. Shame on gay people who are not kind to other gay people.
