Taylor Swift's Director Responds To Backlash Over Rumors Of Stealing From Beyonce's 'Formation'
Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Taylor Swift's music video for her new single "Look What You Made Me Do." The video will premiere on the MTV Video Music Awards and viewers cannot wait to see what she has come up with.
As if the video didn't have enough hype around it already, Swift teased fans with a snippet:
In the video, Swift wears a black-leotard, surrounded by a group of backup dancers in a fancy room. Many people are experiencing déjà vu, and claiming Swift is copying Beyonce's conceptual music video, "Formation."
Once Twitter noticed this, they started to throw T-Swift some shade:
The director of the music video, Joseph Kahn, took the remarks seriously.
Kahn tweeted his respect to Beyonce and let BeyHive fans know he wasn't trying to copy the "Lemonade" concept:
Kahn hinted that there is more to the shot than what is in the teaser:
We'll see what's in store at the VMAs, but it looks like T-Swift will continue shaking the haters off!
