Baldwin's Trump made his entrance wearing sunglasses. He informed the audience that looking at the eclipse can damage your eyes. "No one predicted this, they couldn't ever, figured it all out by myself."
Baldwin took aim at Trump's conflicting statements on Charlottesville.
"As we all know, there was a tragic victim that came out of Charlottesville — me,” Baldwin’s Trump said. “Folks, the media has treated me so unfairly by reporting my entire remarks, even the bad ones.”
Donny continued to set the record straight about his much criticized comments surrounding the tragic event. "You have a group on one side that's very bad, neo-Nazis, and you had a group on the other side' – and then I didn't say a single word after that."
Even SNL cast member Keenan Thompson had several featured moments as Michael, the "token black guy" seen at past SNL Trump rallies. "Folks, we need to stick together as people, okay?"encouraged Donny, while Thompson prominently held up a sign behind him that read: "Blacks for whites."
When asked if he was really black, 'Michael, the black guy' said, “That’s what the ad said you was looking for.”
Even dearly departed chief strategist Steve Bannon made an appearance as the Grim Reaper.
"Steve, you look great. I'm sorry to see you go," said Donny, offering a proper goodbye.
In a sinister tone, Bannon-Reaper replied, "You've only made me more powerful."
Donny: "Chief is going on to Breitbart, with who he will be fighting the good fight with globalist cucks like my son-in-law, Jared. Steve, we love you."
Bannon-Reaper replied, "I'm going to crush you."
After declaring that the wall along the Mexican border would be funded by American tax-payer money, Donny said, "If I have to shut down the government to get it built, I will. Congress will close. No IRS. The military will stay home, there will be no FBI. Latin gangs like MS-13 will roam free chopping up people because we want this wall, right?"
It looks like Baldwin's hilarious turn as 45 will continue gracing SNL as long as there are enough gaffes and misfires from the administration making headlines. Sadly, there's no shortage of those.
On the other hand, we'll remain optimistic for more of Baldwin's Trump in the future.
