On Friday, two gentlemen left their nursing home in Germany for the “Metal Mecca.”
They were found at 3 a.m. when the Wacken Open Air (aka Metal Mecca) was enjoying its last band for the night. The festival is the largest heavy metal festival in the world, lasting four days, located in Wacken, Germany.
The police who located the runaways described them as “disoriented and dazed.” A similar description could probably apply to many of their fellow metal heads. Details such as how far the festival was from the nursing home, how they got there, and if that was their intended destination are all still unknown.
Nonetheless, Twitter was inspired.
