Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are the couple everyone loves to watch these days. In a follow-up to their great “Instagram squabble,” the couple are at it again, trolling one another on Twitter for the world to enjoy.
It all started with a trailer for Lively’s upcoming film, A Simple Favor, which ends with the tagline: “What happened to Emily?” Now, we’re all curious as to what happened to her, but Reynolds steps in as the voice of our concern.
In a tweet to his wife, Reynolds asks, “So… what the fuck happened to Emily?”
Lively, who’s had no issue keeping up with her beau’s antics, fires back with the perfect response. “Oh darling, of all the secrets I’m keeping from you, this should be the LEAST of your concerns… trust me.”

Unfortunately, that’s where the two lovers leave off what could have been an incredible string of tweets.
Of course, it’s this kind of banter that the internet loves, and people were happy to jump into the brief exchange. The popular hashtag response is, as expected, #couplegoals.
Then there are those that seem to have missed the joke and think Lively actually has a secret she’s keeping from Reynolds.
One Twitter user, Oscar Wylde (@OMFGITSOSCAR) made a very important observation that the inevitable Deadpool 3 production team should consider.
A Simple Favor is a Paul Feig-directed thriller starring Lively alongside Anna Kendrick and Henry Golding. It’s scheduled to release on September 14, 2018. Though Reynolds is enjoying the Deadpool 2 gravy train for now, he’s also starring in The Little Stranger and 2019’s Detective Pikachu.
