Concord High School student, Isaac Couling, 16, wasn't looking for this birdie while participating in a golf tournament with rival school Blissfield High at Wolf Creek Golf Course in Adrian, Michigan. Couling had just finished teeing off when an angry goose chased him down and knocked him over.
The coach for Blissfield, Steve Babbitt, told The Detroit News:
They were aware of a goose nest on their left, which they were looking at but not bothering, when from behind them and to the right came the guard goose (protecting the nest).
Couling had his own take on how his feathers were ruffled, saying with a laugh:
Yeah, but no one came to help. All the coaches saw it from the clubhouse. You could see it from there.
He also wanted the record to show:
I did par that hole.
Devon Pitts, a parent of a Blissfield golfer happened to be taking photos at the time and captured the attack. They were then posted to Blissfield Twitter account.
Twitter couldn't stop laughing.
And cue the birdie jokes.
We are glad no one was hurt. Those geese be cray cray.
