Tiffany Haddish, star of the movie Girls Trip, stopped by The Tonight Show to promote her new book, The Last Black Unicorn, and shared a story with Jimmy Fallon that's almost too wild to be believed. Apparently, before her days as a famous comedian Haddish worked as an "energy producer" whose responsibilities included getting people dancing at bar mitzvahs. One night, she began dancing with an older bar mitzvah attendee, and things took a turn for the worse...
Haddish described dancing with an 80-year-old man and deciding to turn it around and give him a little "booty action." She could see his family's faces turn from amusement to fear, so she turned to see her dance partner had collapsed on the floor. The grandfather was taken to the hospital, where he passed away.
Haddish was understandably shaken by the incident:
They ended up taking him to the hospital, and he passed away. And I was like, I didn’t want to dance no more. I felt like ‘this a** is deadly,’ you know like ‘my moves are killer, I got killer moves.’ I didn’t dance for months.
Ultimately, however, the deceased dance partner's daughter wrote Haddish a letter in which she urged her to get back on the dance floor. She thanked her for her hard work and said, "that's the happiest they've seen him, they hadn't seen him have that much fun or smile that much in so long." Maybe it was the way he would have wanted to go?
Haddish also spilled the beans about who bit Beyoncé and role played her first fantasy first date with Brad Pitt.
At least the soul of Haddish's dance partner can rest easy knowing he's been immortalized by a hilarious tale in a hilarious new book. You can check out The Last Black Unicorn on Amazon and enjoy the rest of Haddish's segment with Jimmy Fallon below!
