These Savage Posts Slamming Instagram Took The Words Right Out Of Our Mouths

When Instagram was first born, its feed was chronological, meaning that when scrolling through, you would always see the newest posts first. However, back in March of 2016, they announced that they were switching to an algorithmic feed, much like the one Facebook uses so that what shows up in your feed is what the algorithm thinks you'll be most interested in. Incidentally, Facebook bought Instagram back in 2012. However, the algorithm has not satisfied, well, basically anyone, as users commonly complain about  not seeing posts from their friends, seeing too many sponsored posts, and seeing posts from hours or even days earlier. Ever since 2016, users have been asking the social media platform to return to the chronological feed.

Well, our prayers have been answered! Well... kinda. Last Thursday, Instagram announced that they were tweaking their algorithm to favor newer posts. So, victory! (?) To celebrate, here are some of our favorite Instagram feed memes.

There's this familiar sight...

There's all the tears we've shed over lost friends in the Gram-verse...

And we can all relate to this important political issue of our time...

We've all used this excuse at one point or another 😉...

And finally, a red baseball cap that even liberals can get on board with...

We still don't have our chronological feed back, but hey, baby steps!
