A McDonald's in Castletroy, Ireland, was broken into this past Tuesday, March 20. Though burglaries are unusual by default, the thief in this break-in didn't have the lock-picking skills some of his fellow robbers might have, so he had to improvise. With the subtlety of a master at work, the burglar drove a digger into the side of the building to gain entry.
The hunt for the world's least sneaky criminal is under way...
The only question is...what did he or she use as a getaway vehicle?
On this particular case, point of entry will be a little easier to deduce than usual.
If you live in Castletroy, the local McDonald's is where the action happens.
In the strangest turn of events, the Castletroy McDonald's also announced the robbers permanently damaged the restaurants ice-creme machine? How strange.
Twitter was hardcore on-board with this thief's style:
Bae: Bring me McDonald’s.— Andrew Hebert (@andrewhebertt) March 20, 2018
Guy: Can’t, I’m at work driving a digger.
Bae: But my parents aren’t home.
Construction worker: I’ll take one ice cream— ★ Antonio ★ (@antonio5mc) March 21, 2018
McDonalds worker: sorry ice cream
Once the criminal is brought to justice, expect to hear about it on the front page of most major news outlets. Until then, we must live in fear - when will the Digger Bandit strike again...and at which McDonald's?
