Keighley, Yorkshire, UK has a reputation for being cold.
So police in Keighley thought it odd when they noticed that a roof of a neighborhood house had no snow stuck to it...immediately following a blizzard. What they found inside? Well:
280+ Cannabis plants. AKA, over £80,000 worth of pot.
That would explain why there was no snow on the roof: the heat lamps used inside of the room to keep the plants alive would have melted snow instantly to the touch.
Some of the plants were over 6 feet tall.
Whilst the snow has kept the burglars at bay it has also helped us in finding some rather large plants..— PC Caroline Foster (@WYP_PC27FOSTER) March 1, 2018
hmmm I wonder why there is no snow on your roof??

Keighley residents are so used to their town flying completely under the radar that they're thrilled to see it garnering international attention, and are surely having a laugh at the reason why.
The officers found nobody at home upon discovery of the plants, but were forced to systematically remove all of the cash crop in order to make the house safe.
A spokesperson for the police said the plants will be officially examined and valued, so stay tuned for those of us who are curious.
