Since her commentary of the Rio Olympics went viral in 2016, Leslie Jones is known to have an affinity for Team USA. It's no surprise that her joy is becoming infectious. She recently recruited figure skaters and NBC commentators Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir for a medal-worthy Beyoncé tribute.
And Twitter was like:
Yeah, baby, that's the REAL olympic spirit! I find it very refreshing, indeed, that Tara and Johnny have brought such style, pizzazz, knowledge and expertise to these winter Olympics. Add the spicyness of Leslie Jones....wow. Good on you all!— S.Chandra Naraine (@Subnar) February 19, 2018
10-and the gold medal goes to the trio from the US lead by Leslie Jones and dynamic duo of Weir and Lipinski.— Noraen Saldivar (@noraen25) February 19, 2018
OMG! You're honestly my favorite person right now! How cool is Leslie Jones??? Am I right, ladies? Lol! Good on you!— Kristin Bridges (@DogmaHater11) February 19, 2018
From the shade of their shades to the synchronicity in their struts, the world is grateful the trio reminded us the true meaning of the Olympics, and life in general: Do your best to be Beyoncé.
