Mike McLoughlin has been living in the same house, with the same appliances, since 2008, and only recently has he found that he's been stomaching a needless inconvenience steadily for the past ten years.
He set the scene on Twitter:
I moved into this house in 2008. It always annoyed me that the lower level of the dishwasher wasn’t tall enough to fit my biggest dinner plates. Been handwashing them all this time. This week I discovered you can raise the upper shelf and all my plates fit fine. TEN FUCKING YEARS— Mike Mc Loughlin (@zuroph) January 26, 2018
Twitter had no idea this was a thing either...
The magic of twitter. 5 years of confusion about why my dishwasher was the only one on the planet that didn’t fit normal dinner plates. A year of measuring every dinner plate that crossed my path for one that might. Fixed in 30 seconds. @zuroph you are my hero. https://t.co/dYIuXD5Itq— Lisa Power (@lpowertweets) January 27, 2018
Omg. This is breaking news to me. I avoid my dinner plates all the time. You’re my kind of genius.— EdelW (@ullamuddle) January 27, 2018
Well, basically all except for this guy who was not impressed...
But Twitter has one important question:
Remember this next time you're getting ready to wash the nicer dishes.
