At least one person who watched the trailer for Celebs Go Dating on E4 probably won't be tuning in to catch the premiere. Twitter user Kirran Girling was having a night in, watching some TV, when he received the shock of his life: during a commercial for Celebs Go Dating, he saw his own girlfriend locking lips with one of the "celebs." Continuing the pattern of making relationship events public, he posted his grievance to Twitter:
@emmapollyy ... you got something you want to tell me babe? Watching telly to see an Advert come on of the new series for @CelebsGoDating to find my Mrs snogging the face off muggy mike #muggedoffbymike @MikeThalassitis 🤦🏽♂️ pic.twitter.com/8ZXiK3EmsZ— Kirran Girling (@Kirrangirling) January 23, 2018
Celebs Go Dating is a show where celebrities go dating (surprise!) but with a twist: they go out with ordinary members of the public. One of these ordinary people was Emma Pollard, the reigning Miss Shropshire and alleged girlfriend of Mr. Girling. She confirmed her appearance on the show via Twitter:
Pollard's boyfriend caught her kissing Mike Thalassitis ("Muggy" Mike to his fans from Love Island), who has made a name for himself on the reality TV circuit.
Apparently Muggy is something of a player.
if you think about it, muggy mike has effectively made a career out of being painfully single— emma (@emmastimp) January 28, 2018
None of the parties involved have replied to Girling's tweet, so one can only imagine the group is communicating openly about their feelings in a private, safe setting. When you catch your girlfriend cheating on a TV show, the obvious recourse is a healthy dialogue between the pair of you and "Muggy Mike."
To watch a real person's relationship end, tune into the new season of Celebs Go Dating! It promises to be a great time.
