Philadelphians love three things with all their heart -- Rocky, cheesesteaks, and their sports teams. Last night one inspired Eagles' fan linked two of those things forever.
Celebrating the Eagles NFC championship win and the team securing its spot in the Super Bowl LII, exuberant fans took to the streets of Philly but at least one fan outdid them all by driving a dune buggy up the same iconic museum steps that Sylvester Stallone's film and its protagonist, Rocky made so famous over 40 years ago.
Both fans on the scene and the Philly Twitterati went crazy for the win -- and the buggy:
There are those who fear what an Eagles Super Bowl might look like if this is what just making it TO the Super Bowl gets us . . .
Oh boy. I may go out of town and catch the game at a hotel away from Mpls.— Raj Dash (@RSDMad) January 22, 2018
Not to be outdone, even the Office of the City Rep of Philadelphia got in on the fandom, staging this pic with the local Rocky statue.
Not to worry though, it was all harmless, good natured fun. Police said there were few arrests Sunday night.
