On Tuesday, January 9, Robert De Niro took the stage at the National Board of Review Awards Gala to introduce his friend Meryl Streep, who was receiving an award for her role in Steven Spielberg's The Post. During his introductory speech, however, De Niro had someone else on his mind: President Donald Trump. In his signature, no-nonsense style, the Oscar-winning actor laid into the President with some pretty profane adjectives.
"This f------ idiot is the president. It's The Emperor's New Clothes -- the guy is a f------ fool... our baby-in-chief -- the 'J-------in-chief' I call him": Robert De Niro unleashes profanity-laced rant against President Trump https://t.co/RVUzjoCX2i pic.twitter.com/Qxhl8qpGm1— CNN (@CNN) January 10, 2018
The movie gave us glimpses of President Nixon as delusional, narcissistic, petty, vindictive, nasty and bats*** f***ing crazy. Ah, the good old days.

Robert De Niro isn’t the only one who thinks Trump is a F-ing idiot.— NoNoNazis (@CeeLeeMusic) January 10, 2018
Rupert Murdoch: He’s a F-ing idiot.
Tillerson: He’s a moron.
Mnuchin and Priebus: He’s an idiot.
McMaster: He’s a dope.
Gary Cohn: He’s dumb as sh**.
And those not saying it, are thinking it.#WednesdayWisdom pic.twitter.com/935RsqMNkI
If he was smart, he’d be even more dangerous. He’s dangerous as it is.
The irony of course is that Robert De Niro didn’t say anything about Trump that his own cabinet members, Rupert Murdoch and his rich supposed friends don’t reportedly say about him. He just said it in De Niro-ese (with lots of cussing).— Joy Reid (@JoyAnnReid) January 10, 2018
