Pets are amazing. They're easily the best part of the day for tons of people. They reduce stress, provide companionship, and give us an opportunity to flaunt our awesome naming skills. Twitter has been exploring amazing pet names lately with the hashtag #PetsNamedAfterFood. The trend started after one user met a corgi named Loaf at Corgi Beach Day (we know, we're upset this wasn't a national holiday, too) and posted about him on Twitter. Another user passed the pic along and added the hashtag. Things took off like a rocket from there.

Healthy snacks, represent!

Let's welcome the technicality crew. Their names might not be food, but they're close enough and they're super cute.

Oh, and here's our contribution: Meet Snausages, our pitbull-corgi mix. He's never actually had a Snausages, but he's strangely long and vaguely orangey, like the dog treat.

Yes, we know it's a travesty that he's never had a Snausages. We will rectify that immediately, so no need to send a strongly-worded letter.

Got a pet named after a food? Join in the fun and show us!
