This past June at a GOP practice for the annual congressional baseball game for charity, a gunman opened fire and critically injured Louisiana representative Steve Scalise.
Scalise's scooter is decked out with Louisiana State University gear. He's been a diehard Bayou Bengals fan ever since he graduated from the university in 1989.
The front of the scooter features a purple basket with the name "Tigers" and the LSU logo emblazoned on it. The chair’s backrest, in classic LSU style, sports a fleur-de-lis with the school’s purple and gold colors. And the back of the scooter sports a mock Louisiana license plate that reads MAJ WHIP, maybe so he won't get pulled over?

maybe talk some sense into your fellow NRA-owned stooges, and do something good for the country?— BabySpittle (@babyspittle) October 3, 2017
Jennifer Scalise reportedly pimped her husband's ride. Scalise's office said he’ll resume his work in Congress while completing out-patient rehabilitation in the coming months. In the meantime, he shouldn't have any problem getting from here to there.
