Jamie Lannister Just Had A Difficult Time Trying To Squat Lin-Manuel Miranda
8 months ago

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister on HBO's Game of Thrones, visited The Late Late Show to promote his new movie, a prison thriller called Shot Caller. Nikolaj explained to James Corden that in maximum security prisons, men would squat each other so they could continue to work out with no equipment.

Lin-Manuel Miranda happened to be present, so Corden asked the Kingslayer to demonstrate with the star of Hamilton:

Miranda was pretty skeptical from the very beginning:

The crowd cheered as Hamilton climbed onto the Kingslayer's back:

Nikolaj had some trouble getting Lin-Manuel back up once he dipped into his squat:

Here's the whole clip for all you fans of person-squatting:

Days later, Waldeau commented on the lift:

I tried to re-do [the squats] the other day on The Late Late Show with Lin-Manuel. It felt like a good idea at the time and then I was like, Holy s***, he was heavier than I thought.

Don't worry, Nikolaj, we're still impressed you learned how to squat PEOPLE.

Here's a trailer for Shot Caller:
