Texan Woman Offers Storm Reporter A Beer On Live TV, Is Our New Hero

Hurricane Harvey, the first category 4 hurricane to hit the U.S. in decades, slammed into Texas this past Friday, August 25th. With winds reaching speeds of over 130 miles per hour, it was obviously a dangerous event, and newscasters from around the country had the unenviable task of traveling right into the storm to report on what was happening. However, one such reporter, Casey Stegall, got a pleasant surprise from a resident of Galveston, Texas, who interrupted his live broadcast to give him a 6-pack of "Galveston beer."

Texans are proud of how the woman represented their state:

With a storm of this magnitude, it's important to be prepared:

Stegall is also getting some props for his reaction to the gift:

This is what a hero looks like:

Twitter became very interested in what kind of beer the woman passed to Stegall:

Texans have an iron-clad sense of survival:

Stegall actually tweeted his thanks to the woman for the amazing gift:

It just goes to show that, surrounded by devastation, you can always look to others for something to pick you up:
