Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, also known as "Dwanta Claus" according to his Instagram, decided to surprise his cousin and stunt double Tanoai Reed with a gift following the man's return to the set post-injury.
SURPRISE! I love handing over keys🔑🎁 I love you brother and enjoy your new truck! Over the course of my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed @samoanstuntman has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments & just been an overall dominating bad ass achieving several “Stuntman of the Year” honors. All done with one goal in mind - deliver the best movie possible to the world. I had this custom pick up truck delivered just in time to surprise him (he’s still recovering from a stunt injury) while we give what he thought was going to be an interview about our careers together. As you’ll see the moment I put my hands on my hips, that’s the drivers cue to pull away and reveal the big surprise. Not only does Tanoai represent our family and my career with relentless commitment and passion. He also represents an entire Hollywood stunt community that is truly the backbone of our business. Love you uso and thank you for the blood, sweat, tears and years. We’re just getting started. Enjoy your new truck! #LetsRoll 🤟🏾
Awww. According to Mashable, Reed burst into tears at the sight of the new vehicle, after assuming he'd been summoned to shoot a behind-the-scenes clip with Johnson.
"He's been an incredible partner and brother to me," Johnson says in the clip. "It's been an honor and I want to say from the bottom of my heart, I love you, I thank you, and enjoy your new truck."
My dear Dwayne, you have a very hearty heart.— Kathy (@panijilardino) July 30, 2018

The Rock has a thing for buying cars, which he divulged on Jimmy Kimmel Live!:
He bought his mom a new car for Christmas:
#TBT Surprising my mom with a new car for Christmas. Couldn't remember what her favorite color was between white or red, so I went with white. A few weeks later she was curious as to why I chose white and not her favorite color, red? I told her I couldn't remember her favorite color so I went with white, but I would return the car and get her a new red one?! She looked at me like I had three heads and said "Are you crazy? Nooooo way, I love my white car! I'm so grateful. I was just curious." I even contemplated secretly taking her car from her garage and having it replaced with a new red one, but thought I better not and just leave well enough alone. Then as fate would have it, she was hit head on by a drunk driver - she survived. Her white car was completely totaled and she wound up getting a replacement car of the color she always wanted... Red. Funny (and gratefully) how things work out the way they're meant to. And still to this day she says that white car saved my life. #GoodOlFashionFate #IsAlwaysColorBlind
He bought his dad a new Cadillac Escalade after a hip replacement, and two cousins got new cars, a Lamborghini and a Honda Civic.
Can't wait to see what vehicle @TheRock buys me when he's on his next motor spending spree I'm hoping rv or 4x4 😜😂😂😂 but seriously what nice guy he's bought his whole family new cars from a lambo to a very smart pick up for his cousin /stunt double a heartwarming story— I am the walrus (@davidcaplin46) August 1, 2018
The Rock admitted:
I have this problem, I do have an issue. It's a little sickness that I have. Where I really enjoy buying cars and giving cars to people ... I'm a big, brown, bald, tattooed Oprah.
Well, sign us up for The Rock's show, whenever that happens, and hopefully we will all get new cars.
