Hillary Clinton Has A Powerful Message For Activists—But Some People Are Turned Off By The Language

Former secretary of State and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is coming under fire for a video Tweeted during a lunch event in New York this week.

In the video Clinton says “Thanks for your feminism, for your activism, and all I can hope is you keep up the really important, good work.” An off-screen voice then prompts Clinton, who added “And let me just say, this is directed to the activist bitches supporting bitches, so let’s go.”

Although the added phrase was a requested shout out to an activist group by the same name the video drew immediate response from many who felt the language and timing were inappropriate following a recent New York Times report about Clinton keeping a senior adviser on her 2008 campaign staff after he was accused of sexual harassment.

The response to the video was mixed, with many reacting negatively to the language and the message it sends.

While others believed it was playful and empowering.

Many of her perpetual detractors however felt it was just the same old Clinton.

Though as one user pointed out Clinton might at least deserve a pass on this one.
