On Friday, Stephen King proposed a new series in Dick Wolf's Law & Order franchise and fans went nuts.
Of course since it's King, there's a twist:
You're not going to think I am serious about this, but I am: I would like to see Dick Wolf add a new show to his franchise--LAW AND ORDER VAMPIRE SQUAD.— Stephen King (@StephenKing) January 20, 2018
Fans were staked... I mean stoked. Or should I say Stoker-ed? Let's just say they went a little batty for the series revamp:
Oh man, just think of all the slightly modified national news stories with a vampire or two added for flavor... yeah, this needs to happen.— Brian Erice (@BrianSaysStuff) January 20, 2018
When science fiction writer Madeline Ashby asked for a bite... no, a bit of clarification, King was happy to elucidate:
Another fang, er... fan, contributed a show opener. Maybe King could read it while X-Files-like music plays:
In the criminal justice system, vampiric-based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the undead who investigate these vicious felonies are part of an immortal squadron known as the special vampire unit. These are their stories.— c(´・ω・c ｀) (@XeroxCopycat) January 20, 2018
Just change the name to Law and Order: VHU (Vampire Hunter Unit)— Brian Black (@darthchair) January 20, 2018
Vampire Squad sounds like an 80s movie that John Carpenter passed on.
But mostly the
blood love just flowed:
I would like to pledge some of my hard-earned cash to make this a reality.— The Flaming Monocle (@FlamingMonocle) January 20, 2018
