Now that the holidays are winding down, it's always fun to see how everyone else made merry. Instagram pictures of families around the fire. Facebook posts of children on Santa's knee. Twitter shots of fantastic sun-drenched vacations.
Andy Lassner, an executive producer on The Ellen Degeneres Show, decided to compare the holiday vacations of three high profile women: Chelsea Clinton and... Ivanka and Tiffany Trump.
It looks like Chelsea spent at least part of her holiday helping call attention to Lin-Manuel Miranda's efforts with Toys“R”Us to bring toys to the children of Puerto Rico.
Everyone is allowed time away, of course, especially during the holidays. But the side-by-side comparison does illustrate a vast difference in priorities.
One is a grown up who was raised for service to America. The other were raised in service to the corporate dollar.— Audrey 😉😎🇺🇸🐈🦄 (@BookwormAudrey) December 30, 2017
Thank Andy for making me see a picture I never would have seen otherwise!— 🎇Kirki New Year🎇 (@Kirki1222) December 30, 2017
Different levels of classiness as well!— ~R.h.i.a.n.n.o.n~ (@Rhiannon_K_82) December 30, 2017
I mean, can we really compare an intellectual who wants to do good in the world to two white trash hedge fund girls? 🤷🏻♀️
But setting aside our opinions of the Presidential daughters, it's important to remember the people of Puerto Rico. It's been more than 100 days since Hurricane Maria devastated the island, and many people are still without clean drinking water and electricity.
