On Monday actor Christian Bale joined his co-stars Rosamund Pike & Wes Studi to promote their new movie "Hostiles." Set in 1892 the historical drama follows Bale as an Army Captain reluctantly escorting a dying Cheyenne war chief back home to Montana.
The film which tackles the bitter armistice between the captain and the war chief led to some interesting conversations including what Bale thinks of Holloywood and Washington today.
“Our culture will be so much richer the day that we stop saying ‘Hey it’s all white dudes who are running things. Whether that be Hollywood, whether that be Washington, you know. We’re going to get, in Hollywood, so much better films and so much more interesting stories being told and America will become the America that the rest of the world sees it as, that makes it unique … that we recognize makes this such a beautiful, brilliant country.”
"It's a country of inclusion," Bale later said of his adopted home. "It's the reason that I moved here, it's the reason my kids have American accents.
Oh, yes, the problem with China is that many Chinese are in control... does this guy know anything about political sociology and history? No, it's just another of those liberals with little gray matter— MAAT (@maat333) December 19, 2017
Christian Bale, pimping his own movie made by him as a white man to further enrich him as a white man, says Hollywood (and America) would be better off with fewer white men. Christian, please take the first step and show the us way...https://t.co/2wq9tk5KK2— Peter Van Buren (@WeMeantWell) December 19, 2017
