Former Florida Governor, Jeb Bush gave a lecture, A Conversation with Jeb Bush: Restoring Conservatism in America at Yale University and appeared to take a swipe at President Trump.
During the lecture, while discussing dropping out of the 2016 GOP primary, Bush said, he returned home, "... to children who actually love me."
While Bush didn't specifically call out Trump in the dig, many in the audience interpreted it as such. Apparently so did Trump's sons, Donald Jr and Eric. Both replied to the comment via Twitter.
Donald Jr. threw this out to his followers—
Jeb! I love everything about my father. I love that he’s a fighter, I love that he has guts, I love that he’s President (all those things you’re not)— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) March 29, 2018
Also love that he learned enough about politics in a few weeks to dismantle you piece by piece despite it being your life’s work https://t.co/4fcnA1AgAa
While Eric followed with this—
Twitter wasn't having too much sympathy for either brother.
Do you love that he’s a serial philanderer and grifter with an undeserved ego, tiny hands and limited vocabulary?— Rogue CPI (@RogueCPI) March 29, 2018
How many years did he ignore you Eric?— lynn nelson (@lnelson082) March 29, 2018
Pretty clear where you learnes your excellent husband and father skills.
If you get into therapy now you may be able to break the cycle. But I doubt it.
Too bad your father doesn’t love you. It’s not your fault; your father is incapable of love. But you seem to be a much better man than your brother or your father. You’re not a cheater like they are.— Debbie Eckert (@bachinventions) March 29, 2018
There wasn't a whole lot of warm fuzzies being thrown at Bush either.
Thank you Eric. I am so disappointed in the Bushes. ALL of them.— melaniegore (@melaniesgore) March 29, 2018
Jeb! is a bitter fool. Then again, he’s a Bush so why wouldn’t he be?— Saltwater🌊❤️🅿️atricia 🇺🇸🇮🇹 (@TrumpGirlStrong) March 29, 2018
