It's no secret that President Trump loves spending time at his privately-owned resort, Mar-A-Lago. But just how much time has he spent there since taking office?
NBC posted this shocking statistic to Twitter:
Of the nearly 400 days Donald Trump has been President, 127 have been spent at one of his own properties (whether it was Mar-a-Lago or his golf club in Bedminster, NJ).
This would look bad under any circumstances, but it's especially embarrassing for Trump, who made big promises before taking office.
Some Twitter users thought the statistic didn't treat Trump harshly enough:
I think this article is understating the facts— 🌻 Peggy 🌻 (@WelterPeggy) February 17, 2018
I read a report that stated:
A) the SS went over budget by Sept. of 2017
B) Trump's vacations cost more in 2017 than Obama's cost for 8 years.
C) Obama's vacations for 8 years cost $97M total.
It's not a good look for the President:

Our kids are dying at the hands of other kids
But our President has priorities ..Golfing?
Even if he were taking a manageable number of vacation days, which all Presidents do on occasion, there's still the major moral issue that Trump hasn't divested himself from the companies.
Taxpayers are lining the President's pockets every time he visits one of his own resorts:
If he is not staying at a government owned property / he should have to pay 💰 for all of the expenses/and I mean all of them/we should not have to pay him for his property ever— Bob (@Bob01253993) February 17, 2018
Some people gave Trump the benefit of the doubt:
I think this is where he goes when he needs to deeply think about serious world events and I truly believe he’s affected more than he let’s on.— Lavada 🗽 (@Hall46Lavada) February 17, 2018
Others... not so much:
To deeply think about filling his pockets, yes.— Royal Rebel® (@Royal___Rebel) February 17, 2018
To deeply think about anything else? NO
You know how the old saying goes...
Trump will most likely to continue his frequent vacations. Maybe someone should show him this clip:
Yes, his properties...where he continues to do the work of Governing. Good grief. Not like it's a slow news day.— Dar Jackson (@DarJackson63) February 17, 2018
