In a manner that has become thematic of his presidency, Donald Trump continues to share "facts" on Twitter that are consistently proven incorrect. The latest tweet involved his popularity among African-American voters. Trump is under the impression that it has doubled since his election. It has not. Not even close! In fact it's dropped by over 50%.
According to CNN, a recent poll shows that only 3% of black Americans approve of the job Trump is doing. The numbers don't look any better in a Gallup poll. Days after the inauguration Trump had a 15% approval rating, but one year into his term that has dropped to a mere 6%. The disapproval rating among black Americans sits firmly at 91%.
The "fake news" didn't fool Twitter. They already knew:
Many people also took exception to Trump's apparent claim that he had anything to do with the dip in African-American unemployment.
