The "is Trump racist?" question has been asked repeatedly ever since Trump's "sh*thole" comments were reported last week, but perhaps no answer has been as puzzling as the one Press Secretary Sarah Sanders gave to reporters yesterday.
When asked whether she felt Donald Trump was racist, Sanders called the claim outrageous and offered up this...err...defense...
"Why did NBC give him a show for a decade on TV? Why did Chuck Schumer and all of his colleagues come and beg Donald Trump for money?"
Twitter, of course, had some answers!
Why did NBC allow him to host a show? Good question actually. They DID know both before and during The Apprentice he was a racist. They still have tapes of him saying racist stuff. What say you @nbc? Why’d you do it? And why not release the tapes? https://t.co/JwQPvLv8Ze— Political Glutton (@politicalglutto) January 16, 2018
Then why did all employees and independent contractors on set of the Apprentice have to sign confidentiality contracts with possible penalties of 5 million dollars? Let them all rip those contracts up and come to your “defense”!— Tula Haff (@TulaHaff) January 17, 2018
A little trip down memory lane, Sarah...
To quote NBC:— Nathan Hale (@NatHale1776) January 16, 2018
"Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.”

So please nobody tell her NBC fired him FOR BEING RACIST
Turns out, Twitter can counter a question with a question too. Sarah wants to know why NBC would have given Trump a show if he was racist? OK then...
...Twitter wants to know...

Want to bet that all of trump’s Apprentice tapes and recording have long since been destroyed.— John B Greenwell (@GreenwellJB) January 16, 2018
