Donald Trump has come under fire (Again!) and is denying his actions (Again!) but this time there were witnesses, and they aren't going away.
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) came out on Friday and said he was present when Donald Trump said racist, vile remarks calling African countries, "shit-hole countries" and that the U.S. would "take...out" Haitians who currently live here.
Durbin was clear on what what said, telling reporters:
“I cannot believe that in the history of the White House, in that Oval Office, any president has ever spoken the words that I personally heard our president speak yesterday,. You’ve seen the comments in the press. I’ve not read one of them that’s inaccurate. He said these hate-filled things and he said them repeatedly.”
Does this surprise anyone? Coming from the man who called alt-right, white nationalists, "some very fine people"?
The people can barely contain their rage.
And it's spilling over from Trump to the GOP.
I laughed thinking about the other 5 GOP Senators in that room deciding whether or not to make a statement. The real shitholes they are worried about are their own.— Bill Rutherford (@7718_Rutherford) January 12, 2018
And so no one in the room called him out, because they're cowards.— SoujournerDaTruth (@Bukalove04) January 12, 2018
Trump denied smearing countries — but Durbin was in the room. That Means, AGAIN, everybody is “lying,” except Donald Trump. Shame on the @GOP lawmakers for not standing up, supporting/conforming Durbin’s claim. After all, they were in that room. https://t.co/Z5gtlR4ZaK— truth diviner (@truthdiviner) January 12, 2018
Now the question remains, what to do about it?
