President Trump Messed Up The National Anthem, And Don Jr. Tweeted About It

President Trump's relationship with the National Anthem at football games already has a storied past only 1 year into his presidency. Trump famously ignited a national controversy when, at a rally, he commented that players who kneel to protest police brutality during the national anthem should be "dragged off the field."

Making an appearance at the college football championship between Georgia and Alabama on Monday, Trump demonstrated his own patriotism by standing during the anthem...

...and appearing to forget most of the words:

After the clip went viral, Trump's son Don Jr. tried to come to his father's rescue:

To be clear, THIS is what Don Jr. is talking about...

This is how it's done:

Take it away Twitter...

The championship game isn't the first time something like this has happened, of course...

The replies to Trump Jr.'s post were unsurprisingly hostile...

Too much to ask?

To be fair, the President probably has a lot on his mind...

And what was Don Jr. supposed to do, throw his father under the bus? We get it, family sticks together through everything.

Everything.
