Buckle Up--Trump Is Now Questioning The Authenticity Of The 'Access Hollywood' Tapes

The New York Times published an article on Saturday about Roy Moore and President Trump's reluctance to distance himself from him. In the piece, an interesting quote came to light. 

As the authors wrote:

But something deeper has been consuming Mr. Trump. He sees the calls for Mr. Moore to step aside as a version of the response to the now-famous 'Access Hollywood' tape, in which he boasted about grabbing women’s genitalia, and the flood of groping accusations against him that followed soon after. He suggested to a senator earlier this year that it was not authentic, and repeated that claim to an adviser more recently.

Yes, you read that correctly. The President has allegedly been claiming to people that the famed Access Hollywood tape is inauthentic. 

Twitter pointed out the absolute absurdity of such a claim:
