Jennifer Lawrence Slams Racists Who Attended The Charlottesville Rally, And Her Fans Agree
Facebook

If you aren't familiar with what happened in Charlottesville, here's a quick recap:

White supremacist groups held a rally on the University of Virginia campus last weekend. Organized by Jason Kessler and led by Richard Spencer (a neo-Nazi best know for being punched in the face on camera in Washington, D.C., earlier this year) and David Duke (former "Imperial Wizard" of the Ku Klux Klan), the so-called white nationalists were protesting the scheduled removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee. Shortly after the rally, James Alex Fields drove his car at top speed into a group of counter-protesters, killing one person and injuring dozens more. Fields had left his home earlier that day, telling his mother he was joining the white nationalist rally but without specifying in what capacity.

Jennifer Lawrence spoke out on Facebook, condemning the hate groups and asking followers to help identify the neo-Nazis pictured:

Lawrence's fans met her right where she wanted them to:

Predictably, devil's advocates trotted out false equivalencies between neo-Nazis and counter-protesters:

From a white man, of course.

But JLaw's fans were having none of that:

Let's remember we are dealing with Nazis. REAL, LIVE NAZIS – IN 2017.

At least one person helped identify one of the neo-Nazis pictured:

And another asked a question on everyone's mind:
