Bill Maher, host of HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher, defended Jeffrey Lord's choice to tweet "Sieg Heil" at a member of Media Matters.
“I don’t know how long I’m going to last, really,” Maher told Fareed Zakaria, this morning on CNN. “It’s worse every year. The things that they go after people for now. Your colleague – I don’t agree with him – Jeffrey Lord, CNN got rid of him because he said sieg heil on a tweet. It was a joke."
Maher, who believes millennials are the products of "bad parenting," has been a long time voice against being politically correct.
“This has got to stop, this idea that people have to go away if they’ve offended me even for one moment," Maher continued. How about just move on, turn the page, go to the next thing in your life?”
Meanwhile, Maher's distaste falls on deaf ears following the deaths of 3 people and the injuries of 19 more in Charlottesville, VA., at the hands of Neo-Nazis.
